2025... How Do You Want to Be at the End?

When you consider the end of this year, how do you want to be? On December 31st 2025...
- How do you look?
- How do you feel?
- What have you achieved?
- To where did you travel?
- Who has been active in your life?
- How have you shown up for others?
- How did you plan for the year?
- How prepared were you for the joys and challenges?
Rather than word it 'would like' or 'should', it is important to consider how you 'do' and 'will' as a guarantee to yourself. When planning, always see the goal fulfilled, to keep you motivated and sure of your journey forward to get to the end result.
Each year I recommend to others to consider their 5s - 5 new things to try this coming year, 5 things to achieve, and 5 places to visit. I have taken the step of placing a white board on the back of my bedroom door with my 5s listed. So each morning, I will be reminded of my goals to make sure I am keeping accountable in fulfilling these ambitions.
How will you track your goals?
January, May and September are key months in the year that we tend to feel motivated to try and improve. So now is the perfect time to get started in putting your advance plans in place.
Kick start your year by getting the following organised:
- Get support organised - whether that be for mental health, work, getting organised - counselling/coaching/mentoring
- Review your admin - what are your backup plans if something happens to you? How will your job/business keep going if you aren't able to be around? Who knows what bills need to be taken care of?
- Document your health and medication needs - who knows?
- Schedule time each week for you - whether to rest, read, switch off - prioritise you first so you can then contribute to helping others.
- Schedule time each week for the relationships that matter in your life - have a date night with your beloved/a friend/your family - so you don't get distracted by everything else. Nurture your relationships next after you nurture you.
- At the beginning of each day meditate, at the end of each day journal your experience of the day and end with the top 5 aspects that brought you joy and/or gratitude.
- Move your body, rest your mind, drink fluids to keep you hydrated.
