19 - Wrapping Up - Creating Space for Reflection

We are arriving at the calendar year end. As you see from the headline above, this is our 19th newsletter since we started January this year. How have your found these beneficial? Do you remember what the previous 18 newsletters shared? We are delighted to now make these available in a library for you to access, rather than trawling through your emails.
I am especially pleased to have this now available, as many of us are wrapping up our administration, clearing our to-do lists, closing out projects, and getting ready for a season of rest, to bring comfort in our favourite foods, drinks, movies, favourite people, and rest, rest, and rest some more.
The coming weeks is an ideal time to revisit these newsletters, to take from them what will help you consider your year(s) to come and getting your advanced plans in place.
What are the projects you want to close off before you switch off from work?
This season is for hibernation to prepare for the new year to come. So how does your wrap up look and feel for you? Are you frantically running around trying to get so much in order, or are you able to enjoy this period catching up with loved ones, cleaning up your home, closing off work, and considering the gifts you want to give and receive? What is the best gift you can give yourself in this year end?
One great aspect of this time of year is the opportunity for reflection - what have been your successes? what has taken up a lot of headspace for you during the year that now seems but a near forgotten memory? What is still occupying your mind and creating stress? How can you let it go? What changes did you make this year? Who came into your life? Who did you let go? How will you celebrate the person you have become over these past 12 months?
This is a wonderful opportunity to give your head and heart space to enjoy all that your life is. Even if there are challenges or sorrow for those who have gone from your life this year, what are your memories of your life together that will bring comfort in your grief?
How can you nurture yourself with your comforts over the coming weeks? How do you want to feel when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st? How will you take pressure off yourself to have the perfect Christmas, and allow yourself to have a comforting one?
A lot of questions. What are your answers?
While we could do a recap of 2024 now in line with yesterday's December Full Moon, we are pleased to offer our reflection through our newsletter library (details to access will follow). Check out www.livinglegacy.ie to consider what may help you in the year(s) to come.
We look forward to sharing 2025 with you, so before we move into the frenzy of expectation for a new year, we wish you rest, peace, and comfort for the weeks left in 2024.

Annual Walking Fundraiser

Since November 2021, myself and my dog, Beal, undertake a 150km walk over 30 days to raise funds for three charities - 1 local to where we live, 1 national in Ireland, and 1 international.
To date we have raised 6,000 Euro for several important causes.
This year, we are raising funds for the following organisations, for which we are inviting you to donate and support:
- Merchants Quay Ireland - Jane's Place Service - helping women dealing with homelessness and/or addiction
- Cliona's Foundation - supporting families with sick and terminally ill children - listen to my recent interview with co-founder Brendan Ring.
- Irish Emergency Alliance - on the ground support for communities in war zones such as Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, and beyond.
Further details on this fundraiser and how to donate are found here
Thanks for your support.
